When I travel, I tend to read non-fiction books (histories, memoirs, ethnographies or current affairs) before departure to familiarize myself with the destination. Once airborne, I always love to immerse myself in the culture by reading fiction by a local author. And of course, no trip is complete without a gorgeous coffee table book to proudly display upon your return.
